From Referral to Homecoming

Spence-Chapin has been working in and placing children from Russia since 1992. Our agency can assist you with an adoption from Russia by working in partnership with an agency currently accredited in Russia. We partner with, The Cradle who has programs and staff in several Russian regions. Spence-Chapin can provide families with adoption education and support, home study assessment and preparation, and post adoption services.

All families who have their home studies completed by Spence-Chapin go through required training on general adoption issues, child development, and attachment. During this educational process, you will be provided with in depth information on both of the agencies with which we work so you can choose to proceed with your adoption in partnership with The Cradle.

Celebration for Children from Eastern Europe

Every January, Spence-Chapin hosts a party for children adopted from Eastern Europe. Families come together to celebrate with traditional food, crafts, and entertainment and to share their experiences with each other. Children get an opportunity to explore their common heritage and meet other families similar to theirs.
