If you are facing an unplanned pregnancy, you may have a lot of questions. You may feel confused, uncertain and overwhelmed. We are here to help you think through all of your options, including adoption. She will discuss all of your options so that you can find out whether adoption would be the best plan for you and your baby. We have social workers conveniently located in Manhattan, Summit, New Jersey and Hauppauge, Long Island.

Spence-Chapin is a well-known and highly respected non-profit agency that has been facilitating adoptions since 1908. Adoption has changed a lot over the past years. We can tell you how it is practiced today so that you can decide what is right for you. If you need some time to consider your options, your baby can receive short-term care from an experienced and nurturing infant care provider. Whether or not you decide to make an adoption plan, Spence-Chapin's services are confidential and completely free from pressure and obligation. There is no cost to you for our counseling and adoption services.

Our social workers have counseled women in many situations: women who felt they were too young to be a parent; women who needed financial assistance to parent; women who already had children but felt unable to raise another child; and women overwhelmed by the medical attention that their special needs child would require.

Your counselor will help you find good prenatal care, important for your baby's health and for your own. If you need a place to stay, she can offer you some options. The agency can assist you with pregnancy-related expenses, including medical care; maternity clothes; living expenses and transportation.
